'sup ya all. Been a while. Needless to say my inbox is crazy. and my new years resolution of 1 pixel a week ahh. well. I can try and fix that up later.
atm college is really busy. I'm kinda panicking to be honest. But in the midst of all that, I find myself using my procrastination time to use duolingo and sites like it to practice languages.. specifically spanish.
So after some looking around the internet, I heard of the +1 challenge, which is a 90 day challenge learning language and uploading it unto youtube. I'm not really interested in that, but I am interested in seeing how far I can push myself to learn spanish in 90 days -that would e July, August and September -Just as school in ireland will start up. I'd like to get to day-today-basic conversation level, so i can push the rest with talking to people and not just books.
which is to say, A2ish would be nice
- Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
I'd like to get a bit past that but eh. After that I'll be in fourth year and I'm thinking of signing up for the JLTP N2, which would be super hard for me to pass, but it'll make me learn a lot of vocab and grammar, so it might be worth trying.
Anyway, that means I'll probably use dA a bit to blog the whole thing. Add in some lines of spanish. stuff like that.
I wanna do dutch too but it's bad to learn two languages from scratch at once so it'll have to wait. spanish is super easy though so I should be at intermediate before tooooo long..
